Actress Parineeta Borthakur who was earlier seen as Sharmistha in Colors’ Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur has joined the cast of Zee TV show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani.
“I am joining the show to play Vasundhara, who will be politician. It’s a grey shade character, a Home Minister who’s very punctual and strong. It’s a Rajasthani role, but my look isn’t Rajasthani. The role is very challenging and exciting. I am doing it because it’s not a typical mother role. Also the show is produced by Sphere Origins, with whom I have worked in the past in the shows ‘Saath Phere’ and ‘Hey…Yehii To Haii Woh!’ They are very nice to work with and working with them has been always special.” Parineeta told in a statement.
TV show ‘Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’, which was launched in July 2015, has had three seasons since its inception — the first season featured Drashti Dhami and Siddhant Karnick as the lead couple with Eisha Singh and Sarrtaj Gil taking over as the new heroine and hero in the second and third seasons.
