With her beauty, acting chops and superb comic timing, Surbhi Chandna is winning us all over as the spunky Anika from Ishqbaaz. Surbhi has been linked with businessman Karan Sharma for a long time now. The couple’s cute pictures can be found on Instagram as well. However, Surbhi told The Times of India today that that she was not in a relationship. She also clarified on stories of Karan and her going out on dates with Nakuul Mehta and his wife Jankee. She told the publication, “Nakuul and his wife are great hosts and sometimes we all party at their place, but I am not dating anyone. If I have someone special in my life, why will I not talk about it?” (Also Read: Ishqbaaz 10 October 2017, Written Update of Full Episode: Shivaay gives Anika a romantic surprise while a turban clad Omkara visits Gauri on Karwa Chauth)
The lady also expressed her opinion on ShiVika’s hot chemistry, which according to many is the sole reason behind Ishqbaaz’s being an addiction amongst young TV viewers. She said that it was the bromance that endeared the show to everyone and not just the sizzling romance. She told the paper, “Shivaay-Anika can’t run the show entirely on their own. I believe that it is the track of the three brothers — Shivaay, Rudra and Omkar — that attracts more viewers. This is perhaps one of those few shows where along with the lead actress, there are two more pretty actresses contributing to the show.” Actress Shrenu Parikh plays Gauri on the show while Mansi Srivastava is Bhavya, Rudra’s (Leenesh Mattoo) love interest. Besides all this, Surbhi also opened up on her costumes. Though she is a married girl on the show, we don’t see her always in saris or lehengas. She dresses a lot like us in simple salwar kameezes, denims and tops. Surbhi said that she felt lucky that she got to dress so comfortably throughout the show. “I wanted my dresses to tell a story. I have always believed that fashion is about comfort and then style. Now, after doing this show, I really feel sorry for my contemporaries, who get to wear only traditional or simple saris on their shows,” signed off the actress.
