Last week, one of the most intriguing Tamil films hit theatres- Aramm starring Nayanthara in the lead. While films with a social cause have not been uncommon in Kollywood, a lead female actress leading the way was the surprise element. That’s why Aramm created quite a stir among fans and critics, who were curious to know how this women centric film would unfold. Post the release, social media has been flooded with congratulatory messages for the actor and the director. The film’s heart warming yet powerful concept has struck a chord and been considered a must watch for all. If all the praise and adulation wasn’t enough, one particular celebrity has come out and patted them on their back via a strong message Also Read: Aramm movie review: Nayanthara’s portrayal of IAS officer and the supporting cast leave critics highly impressed
“Hence proved, good cinema matters, kudos to #Nayanthara and director #GopiNainar , in an industry which is plagued with masala movies scripted for star heroes, #Aramm has proved the formula to be wrong. Good cinema matters, good story matters, good performances matter!” stated Amala Paul. Whoa! The actress couldn’t have put it in a more perfect way. Ever since the release, the film has been a topic of discussion for its story line and for its powerful lead cast.
Interestingly, this is Nayanthara’s second women centric film of this year.. Her first film was Dora, a horror film that coincidentally marked an assistant director’s debut much like Aramm. However the movie didn’t quite take off. Nayanthara has multiple projects in her kitty – There’s Jai Simha opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna, Imaikkaa Nodigal, a thriller film that will have her play a cop, then there’s Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, another film with her in lead. Apart form these upcoming films, she has Velaikkarana, a Mohan Raja film also starring Siva Karthikeyan and Fahadh Faasil! This si the first time she will be seen opposite both actors.
