It is the day of the week we when take stock of how much love your favourite TV shows are getting from the audience. For makers, Thursday is time for number-crunching as BARC shares details of how much viewership a show is getting. Well, there are no great surprises this week. There are a few shows that are doing brilliantly as always. The viewership of urban and semi-urban areas have formed a large chunk of the total viewership. Star Bharat’s Kya Haal Mr Panchaal and Nimki Mukhiya have won people in cities as well. Of course, all eyes are on Bigg Boss 11. The semi-finale week wasn’t too great as the show got the No.11 spot.
Top 10 Urban Shows
Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya was at the top with 7.8 million impressions viewership followed by Kumkum Bhagya at 7 million impressions. The two shows refuse to budge from the top two slots except on a few occasions. Sony SAB’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was the third place followed by Sony TV’s Super Dancer Chapter 2 at 6.3 million impressions. Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai got 6.2 million impressions followed by Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki (5.8). Udaan, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Ishq Main Marjawan and Tu Aashiqui completed the list. All eyes are on Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 11 but it was again out of the top 10. Top 10 shows – Urban and Rural combined
Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya was at the top place with 12.5 million impressions viewership followed by Kumkum Bhagya at 11.2 million impressions viewership. Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya was the third place. Star Bharat’s sitcom Kya Haal Mr Paanchal was at the fourth place with 10 million impressions viewership. It was followed by another Star Bharat show Nimki Mukhiya that got 9.8 million impressions viewership. Super Dancer Chapter 2, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on Sony SAB and Sony PAL, Baalveer and Mahek finished off the list. The 11th place was taken by the suspense drama, Ishq Main Marjawan.
Talking about channels, it was Colors that led the list with 45.76 million impressions viewership followed by Star Plus at 35.60 million impressions viewership. Zee TV, Star Bharat and Sony Entertainment Television finished the top five. Sony SAB, Sony Pal, Zee Anmol, STAR Utsav and &TV finished the list.
